Role Summary
- Head the Business Architecture and Process department, reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer.

Role Requirements
- Significant experience leading large-scale improvement programs in global, matrixed organisations.
- A proven track record of creating and implementing enterprise operating models and delivering high-quality projects within strict deadlines.
- Past experience managing budgets and leading high-performance teams is necessary.

The Wellcome Trust is a global charitable foundation dedicated to improving health for everyone by funding science, leading policy and advocacy campaigns, and building partnerships. We plan to spend £16bn over the next ten years, funding new discoveries in life, health, and wellbeing, and taking on three global health challenges: mental health, infectious disease, and climate and health. These challenges need the bold science we support, but they won’t be solved by science alone.
The role: As the Head of Business Architecture and Process, you will report directly into the Chief Operating Officer and lead our business architecture and process design agenda. This involves overseeing organisational improvement initiatives, identifying interdependencies, and ensuring alignment between strategy, structure, and operations in partnership with Organisational Planning and People Teams. This is a unique opportunity to set up a new team and play a key role in ensuring we are set up to deliver our ambitious vision and mission.
Job requirements: The ideal candidate will have significant experience leading large-scale improvement programmes in matrixed organisations with a global reach. A track record of designing and implementing enterprise operating models and experience of delivering high-quality projects within tight deadlines is essential. Experience managing budgets and leading high-performing teams is also required.
