What will you be doing?
Nourish is a well-respected food bank, which holds The Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service. We are a local charity, based in Kent, and our mission is to ensure that no-one need be hungry in Tunbridge Wells, South Tonbridge and the surrounding areas. From small beginnings in 2012, we have grown in reach and volume, and we now provide around 120,000 meals a year. Operations are managed by a small team of employees and food is distributed by a dedicated group of volunteer packers and drivers from our warehouse in Tunbridge Wells. Our current Treasurer is nearing the end of his term, and so we are looking for a new Treasurer to join our Board and help us meet the challenges of growing demand for our services, limited resources and a cost-of-living crisis. This is an opportunity to lead the financial management of a high-profile local charity, which provides vital food aid to people in need. You must be able to give around around one day a week of your time to the charity.
