What will you be doing?

We are looking for an experienced and proactive public relations professional to join our newly formed comms and marketing team. You will use your skills and experience to help raise the profile, brand and reputation of Ignite Hubs by commanding media attention and securing organic press coverage. You will find interesting stories to tell and craft compelling press releases around key announcements, achievements and events, building strong relationships with media contacts across local, trade and national publications. Additionally, you will generate thought leadership opportunities for our CEO and trustees and proactively seek out media opportunities for comment and case studies. You will also coordinate press interviews and identify opportunities to work with influencers and bloggers within the parenting and education fields. You will work collaboratively with the wider comms and marketing team and other teams to effectively support key priorities for Ignite Hubs to help the organisation reach its ambition to reach more children and young people with our work.

What are we looking for?

The ideal person will have experience with:

Creating and identifying media opportunities Building strong relationships with journalists, editors, bloggers and influencers Writing, editing and proofreading Reporting, monitoring and analysing press coverage

We plan to offer classes, workshops and events for children and young people on a wide variety of subjects via our five Hubs; Code, STEM, Innovation & Enterprise, Creativity and Health & Wellbeing. You PR expertise will help us to amplify our mission to create innovative and engaging educational hubs, in-person and virtually, and help us roll them out across the country. You will also help us to reach new audiences and raise awareness about the charity.
