Role Summary

Bloomsbury Publishing is a leading independent publishing house, established in 1986, with authors who have won the Nobel, Pulitzer and Booker Prizes, and is the originating publisher and custodian of the Harry Potter series. Bloomsbury has offices in London, New York, New Delhi, Oxford and Sydney.

The role: This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and creative individual to join the campaigns team working across the Special Interest division at Bloomsbury. The role reports in to the Head of Marketing and you will be joining a small but dynamic team, focused on building the best campaigns for our books and authors. You will be responsible for creating and implementing well-rounded marketing campaigns, managing briefing and creative direction of marketing assets, digital and print and work with all key stakeholders to ensure the material appropriately markets the book. You will also manage and attend events and conferences relevant to the list and manage content for the online communities, social media.

Job requirements: Proven experience of working within a book marketing team is required. A high degree of confidence and experience of owning a marketing plan and working with social media, enewsletters, online and offline advertising, working with brands and third parties is needed. Some design knowledge needed, ability to work in InDesign/Photoshop/Canva. Video editing skills would be an advantage. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Experience of reporting plans internally and in author/agent meetings. The ability to multi-task and work on several different projects simultaneously. Good copy-writing, proofreading, design and project-management skills. Good time-management and people-management skills.
