What will you be doing?
F6IT (pronounced FIT) provides an holistic and family-centred approach to supporting children and young people with disabilities and additional needs, by providing, amongst others, accessible and inclusive sports groups, clubs and much-needed family support hubs to over 100 families/children in the area. Although a fledgling charity, F6IT has ambitious plans over the next 2 years to more than triple its range of services and impact and, in the longer term, build a specialist support facility. As the Treasurer Trustee you would:
Provide strategic financial leadership and guidance to the Board Ensure F6IT’s financial resources are managed prudently and are fully compliant With the CEO, develop and monitor F6IT’s budget, forecasts and performance Review and present financial reports to the Board on a regular basis Serve as the key liaison with auditors and all other financial providers Ensure timely and accurate completion of audits and tax filings Champion open communication and collaboration Identify potential risks with the Board and develop strategies to manage Represent the Charity and build relationships with key stakeholders and partners
What are we looking for?
Essential experience and skills:
Qualified accountant with financial management experience Strong understanding of accounting principles, budgeting and risk management Strategic, incisive, analytical with sound judgement and problem solving skills Understanding of Trustee legal responsibilities and liabilities Ability to manage complexity Delivery and quality orientated Excellent communication and organisational skills Collaborative with excellent interpersonal skills
