What will you be doing?
We are currently preparing a number of developments at our Marble Hill adventure playground. These include a brand-new sandpit and landscaping, path, awnings and improvements to our buildings. We are looking for some additional help to plan and implement one or more of these projects in a way that manages impact on current services and on the environment. The projects are at different stages of design, planning, gaining permissions and funds, and some are ready to implement. You may wish to be involved in one particular project, or play a role on several. Either way, as a member of the site subcommittee you will work closely with trustees, subcontractors, with the day-to-day manager of the site and other Playcentre staff, and gain the satisfaction of seeing your work result in tangible benefits.
What are we looking for?
Relevant experience might come from involvement with building projects or outdoor facilities. We are looking for an ability to plan, procure and manage projects together with the wider team.
What difference will you make?
The Playcentres is in the spotlight in 2024 and 2025, due to celebrating our 50th anniversary. We expect a huge range of visitors from previous generations of children who have played here, through to funders and the wider community attending fundraising events. As such, the realisation of long-desired ambitions to improve and enhance the experience of visitors will be a fantastic achievement to showcase, and will help to place the Playcentres in a strong position for years to come.
