What will you be doing?
What will you be doing? We need your help to apply user-centred design to our website. You will work with our research, design and technical specialists to turn the user insight we’ve collected into improvements to our website. We also have a great marketing team to support with applying content design principles to any website updates. Our volunteers work together to ensure that the Givto service is the best it can be. And we have big ambitions for 2024 so it’s an exciting time to join us. We will expect commitment and for you to work with us regularly, but we are flexible about when and how. We’re all volunteers after all!
What are we looking for?
We’d like you to:
have worked as a Content Designer in a team with other design disciplines have created information architecture for online experiences have applied content types to inform design best practice have helped turn user research insight into design changes
be organised, reliable, proactive and have a ‘can-do’ attitude!
It would be nice if you:
have created accessible content following WCAG guidelines have knowledge of the charity/fundraising sector
What difference will you make?
Givto is unique. It's a bit like a digital version of the supermarket charity token schemes. It enables people to give to different charities but ensure that their personal information is safe. Our users and the charities we support have told us it is already making a difference and enabling charities to reach people who would never have heard of them otherwise. That's because no matter how big or small a charity is, or what cause they support, they all get a platform with Givto. We are still relatively new and have a lot of work to do in 2024. You will play a key role in helping to develop innovative and secure services that provide a great user experience, reduce manual processing, and enable more people to give more to good causes across the UK and beyond. You will be joining an amazing team of professionals who develop and run the Givto service in their spare time. We are a dynamic and friendly team of volunteers who love to learn from each other, share best practice, and have fun too.
