The Uganda School Project is a small international development charity, founded in 2016, focusing on primary school educational development in rural Uganda. The objective of the charity is to advance the education of children and young people in Uganda through the construction of educational facilities (e.g. classrooms), as well as capacity building programmes to improve the quality of educational delivery (e.g. teacher training programmes). We are looking for someone with skills and experience in all things digital comms to create an engaging and compelling digital comms strategy for a matched funding campaign (The Big Give's Christmas Challenge). Through social media and email campaigns

We are looking for someone ‘hands-on’, with some time to spare for operational support in this area - approx 2-3 hours a week (but this is very flexible and can be discussed). Sensitivity to the ethics of storytelling, imagery and use of language in the context of international development is essential. Position would be 100% remote, with management meetings with the CEO taking place weekly. Successful candidates will receive the necessary onboarding and ongoing support needed to carry out their role effectively. The role is voluntary but any out-of-pocket expenses will of course be reimbursed.
