What will you be doing?
Taking the lead in designing and developing a visually appealing, intuitive, and globally accessible website that aligns with WENDO's brand identity Guiding the WENDO team and Trustees in understanding the principles of the design and creation of the website Understanding the Strategic Objectives of the charity and bringing them to life through the website Building in place all necessary functionalities to enhance user experience and website performance Ensuring the website is responsive and accessible across various devices, browsers, platforms, social media and other digital sources Collaborating with WENDO team members to keep website content up-to-date, accurate and engaging Incorporating SEO best practices to improve website visibility and organic traffic Regularly monitoring and analysing website metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary changes as agreed with team members Providing ongoing maintenance and technical support, troubleshooting and resolving any website issues that may arise Contributing to the development of WENDO's brand guidelines and support in ensuring consistency in design and messaging across the website.
What are we looking for?
You will have a passion for women empowerment and development initiatives Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong organisational and time management capabilities Ability to work independently and remotely, with minimal supervision Proficiency in website development, with experience using popular CMS platforms such as WordPress and WordPress themes Experience in Elementor and other word press plug-in’s Strong HTML, CSS, and JavaScript skills, coupled with a solid understanding of responsive design principles Experience with web analytics tools, SEO practices, and website optimization techniques Experience in integration of e-commerce in websites Previous charity experience desirable but not required
