What will you be doing?

RHL has a fantastic track record of engaging with communities in Hampshire, Berkshire and Surrey to deliver user-focused health and social improvement initiatives. We are seeking a new Treasurer to help take the charity forward to its next exciting stage by sharing your experience and expertise with us. The trustee role is a voluntary position overseeing the running of the charity, and it involves attendance at quarterly board meetings during the year at flexible times. This video tells you what we do best: https://youtu.be/xqkjxLCn368 Board meetings and Finance meetings are quarterly and now usually held on line, which removes geographical restrictions for our Trustees. We use Zoom and Teams with trustees linking in from home and meetings are usually at 6pm on a Wednesday lasting an 1.5 hours on average. We are not expecting anyone to travel although it is good to meet up face to face at least once a year (optional). Our monthly Management Pack (Financials) consists of 8 elements so you must be comfortable understanding and analysing and providing a steer to the rest of the Board. You will also be required to provide a short treasurers report at Board meetings and host the Finance Committee meetings. Would suit an experienced Chairman or a qualified accountant wanting to make a difference in communities.

What are we looking for?

Would suit an experienced Chairman or a qualified accountant wanting to make a difference in communities.  We are looking for drive, commitment and a real passion for enhancing our communities health and wellbeing. A knowledge of the challenges people face in their everyday lives and a will to help people is what we are really looking for. Any other skills and experience gained in a similar role is very welcome, you may have expertise in one or more of the following: ·         Financial management ·         Business development ·         Commissioning / contracting ·         Researching funders / writing proposals ·         Public relations ·         General management ·         Volunteer management ·         Change management ·         Governance ·         Social care / counselling

What difference will you make?

The role of Treasurer is so important to us - not only do we need someone to keep us on track financially and keep us viable, but even more significantly, we are looking for someone to help us formulate our vision for the future. A huge part to play in a very successful Board of trustees
