  • Role Summary:
    • Initiate and drive product adoption within the freight industry as the first Business Development Representative.
    • Collaborate with marketing and product teams to create and execute lead generation campaigns.
    • Develop outbound strategies and engage with prospects to educate them on Pledge's solutions.
    • Accelerate the self-serve signup process and facilitate trial signups.
    • Stay informed on product enhancements and industry trends to effectively communicate with customers.
    • Test and refine sales strategies in partnership with the marketing team.
  • Role Requirements:
    • Proven experience as an SDR or BDR in B2B SaaS sales.
    • Preference for candidates with experience in product-led growth environments.
    • Exceptional communication skills for cultivating qualified opportunities.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a trusted advisor, you’ll become a Pledge expert as you introduce new users to the Pledge self serve platform. You’ll be our first Business Development Representative and play a critical role in driving product adoption among the freight industry. Collaborating with the product and marketing teams and leveraging a deep understanding of our product and customer use cases, you will develop outbound strategies to initiate contact with prospective clients, showcasing the value of Pledge’s solution to facilitate self-serve signups.

This role is NOT for you if:

  • You are looking for a 9 to 5 job.

  • You have a low risk appetite and favour predictability over the uncertainty & high intensity environment of a startup.

  • You want a fully remote job and are not excited about being in an office with your team for minimum 3 days a week.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

  • Collaborate with marketing and product teams to develop and execute effective lead generation campaigns, identifying the ideal buyer/and or user persona within target accounts.

  • Qualify and prospect ICP’s managing outbound product led growth (PLG) campaigns through various channels, including cold calling, email outreach, Linkedin and other social media.

  • Engage with prospects to understand their needs and educate them on the benefits of Pledge's solutions.

  • Introduce ICP’s to Pledge’s product, driving product adoption and accelerating self-serve signup process, closing prospects into signing up for free trial.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of lead interactions and PLG activities using CRM software.

  • Continuously enhance product knowledge and stay up-to-date with industry trends to effectively address customer pain points.

  • Collaborate with marketing and product teams to remove any barriers to adoption

  • Continuously test, improve and refine sales strategies and messaging in close collaboration with the marketing team. Research accounts to develop strategies to drive sign ups and subscriptions to Pledge’s products.

  • Be a Pledge champion by demonstrating a deep understanding of the platform, our competitive differentiators and the value we provide to customers.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

  • Experience as an SDR or BDR selling B2B SaaS software

  • Experience with product-led companies is preferred

  • Outstanding communication skills to identify and create new qualified PLG opportunities.
