The role ASI is positioning for a range of climate change and infrastructure programmes, across our clients particularly in Indonesia. We are currently building teams to deliver anticipated donor funded programmes in Indonesia (subject to award of tender) ranging from senior leadership, particularly those who have a track record of working on DFAT programmes to experts in Gender, Equality, Social Inclusion and Disability (GEDSI), experts in learning, impact and monitoring as well as technical experts.
Job requirements Demonstrated experience of working with the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT), experience of managing large and complex DFAT funded programmes in Indonesia is preferred. Robust understanding of Australia’s Development Policy is appreciated. Demonstrated experience of working across programme components or organisations in senior roles in the development sector, with experience setting up and facilitating governance mechanisms. Astute in programme management, demonstrating experience of managing and coordinating with a range of stakeholders including governments, donor community and programme suppliers. Strong ability to lead research, analysis and learning activities in complex climate change programming. Expertise in GEDSI, with a track record of supporting research which leads to an improvement of understanding challenges of climate change and the energy transition impacts on vulnerable groups. Experience of developing GEDSI strategies and providing targeted technical assistance is crucial. Experience of leading and supporting the development of communication material for dissemination on a range of platforms, experience of organising and facilitation learning workshops with a variety of stakeholders. Experience of developing communication plans for development programmes is preferred. Technical experts in the areas of climate finance, climate policy and disaster risk management with experience of working in Indonesia. Expertise in monitoring, evaluation, learning and reporting and an understanding of DFAT’s monitoring and evaluation standards. Experience of developing MEL plans and strategies will be beneficial. Networks with key stakeholders in Indonesia such as GoI ministries, private sector, civil society and state-owned enterprises.
