  • Implement and maintain the IT infrastructure to ensure system reliability, scalability, and security.
  • Work with ITIL framework and provide support to service desk and engineering teams as a primary escalation point.
  • Be on call for mission-critical services, including weekends, public holidays, and charity closure days.
  • Experience with security technologies (SIEM, IDPS, MDR, Endpoint protection, etc.) and delivering infrastructure & cybersecurity solutions.
  • Understanding of Cybersecurity frameworks, industry best practices, controls, and standards (Cyber Essentials Plus, ISO27001, NCSC principles).
  • Proficiency in Hyper-V, VMware, Active Directory, Windows Server, DNS, DHCP, LAN/WAN, VPNs, Veeam, Cisco Meraki, Watch Guard Firewalls, PowerShell scripting.
  • Strong experience in cloud technologies (Azure IAAS, M365, SharePoint, Azure AD, Intune, Azure SQL, SAML, SSO, Windows 365, Cloud Flare, Certificate management, Database Management).

The Role: As Lead Infrastructure Engineer, you will play a crucial role in implementing, and maintaining our organization's IT infrastructure. You will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, scalability, and security of our systems, networks, and servers. You will also have a great understanding of ITIL and be used to working with service desk and engineering teams being their primary escalation point. This role requires being on call for mission critical services and emergency duties on Saturdays, Sundays, Public Holidays and Charity Closure Days.

Job Requirements: We are looking for someone with hands-on experience working with security technologies such as SIEM, IDPS, MDR, Endpoint protection etc and proficient experience in independently delivering infrastructure & cyber security solutions, including on-premise, public and private cloud solutions. You should have a broad comprehension of Cybersecurity frameworks. Including working knowledge of industry best practices, controls and standards such as Cyber Essentials Plus, ISO27001 and NCSC principles. You should also have a proficient, hands-on experience in technologies such as Hyper-V, VMware, Active Directory, Windows Server 2016/2019, DNS, DHCP, LAN/WAN, VPNs, Veeam, Cisco Meraki, Watch Guard Firewalls, PowerShell scripting. Strong experience in cloud technologies including Azure IAAS, M365, SharePoint, Azure AD, Intune, Azure SQL, SAML, SSO, Windows 365, Cloud Flare and Certificate management, Database Management is also required.
