What will you be doing?

You will be responsible for creating a visually appealing, user friendly and unique website mockup, and creating eye-catching graphics for social media, marketing campaigns, and promotional materials, that resonate with our target audience. You will collaborate with our existing volunteer web developer to create an optimised and mobile responsive website where new content can easily be added and updated by others. The director will specify the detailed requirements and work closely with the volunteers throughout the project. Ongoing involvement is also on offer as we bring this significant community wellbeing initiative to life.

What are we looking for?

- Proven experience as a graphic designer with a strong portfolio showcasing your design skills and creativity. - Proficiency in graphic design software such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign. - Knowledge of web design principles and experience creating website mockups or prototypes. - Strong understanding of branding concepts and the ability to translate them into compelling visual assets. - Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

What difference will you make?

Your help and expertise will enable us to engage and support a large section of society that currently fails to meet minimum levels of activity required for a healthy lifestyle. The number of adults classed as inactive (averaging fewer than 30 minutes a week) is 25%, and this has fallen back to the levels in 2016 mainly due to the pandemic. When it comes to children, 30% are classed as less active (fewer than 30 minutes a day), where the recommended minimum is 60 minutes a day. This online initiative will help people to find sport and physical activity opportunities that meet their individual needs, and it will realise the potential of physical activity to make better places to live and bring people together.
