What will you be doing?
Join us to help redesign and reimagine a global health charity for the future. We are looking for people who are passionate about child health & wellbeing and global health to help us develop and shape projects that will improve the mental health and wellbeing of the next generation. You will play a key role in developing a new organisational strategy that will see SKIP become a sustainable, well-funded, forward-thinking global health organisation.We particularly welcome applications from those who have experience in child safeguarding, fundraising, grants and finance for charities, global health and experience of organisational change.This is a voluntary role for three years.Application deadline: 31st March 23.59 BST.
What are we looking for?
Essential Knowledge
A commitment to the aims, objectives and values of the organisation. An understanding of the duties of being a charity trustee including governance, strategic management, child safeguarding and legal/financial duties Interest in global health, mental health and/or volunteer-led organisations
Experience
Leadership and managing people Project management Working with volunteers
Skills & abilities
Time management skills Basic IT skills Excellent teamwork and communication skills Ability to think creatively, remain calm under pressure and manage a crisis Ability to think strategically Ability to express opinions in a reasoned way whilst also listening to others, alongside an awareness that the role may involve making difficult decisions.
