The Chair will oversee the international cooperation, and contributes to shaping and monitoring overall work of the commission and its divisions to contribute to the achievements of organizational priorities and outcomes.

What will you be doing?

(A) Administrative Duties:

Participation in the IYF’s highest-level corporate decision-making body, the Executive Board (EB), helping to identify and implement strategic directions for the Organization as a whole. Manages the IRC Bureaus and centers, including Regional partnerships focal points and works collaboratively and collegiately across the IYF to achieve outcomes and results in line with IYF’s Internal Strategy. Co-chairing the IYF Partnerships Board (IYFPB).   Guides, mentors and develops a team of senior officers at HQ-level and Representation Teams.

  (B) External Relations Duties:

Monitor international issues relating to the youth, and draft testimony, responses, comments and other research for submissions when required. Liaise with key international agencies, federal governments and high-profile persons around supporting IYF’s operations. Provide advice to the IYF Senior Administration Team (SMT) on partnership policies and best practices in this field. Monitor and engage in the structuring, negotiating, and documenting of major international engagements. Represent the federation in the related programmes, events and activities.

  (C) Partnerships support:

Develops, advises on and regularly updates IYF’s corporate resource mobilization strategy and coordinates IYF’s core and non-core resource mobilization efforts across HQ and regional Bureaux. Coordinates and updates organization-wide partnership strategy development, maintains, tracks and advises on key organisational partnerships. Maintain and foster relationships with partners, donors, business and government delegations, and foreign officials. Developing and managing international opportunities for youth. Developing strategic alliances and managing institutional partnerships and collaborations.

What are we looking for?

A minimum of three years of experience and results are preferred at the national level in a foreign/diplomacy role, international relations, external relations, development, communications, youth issues, sport, women's empowerment, youth-led organizations, or another relevant field.
