Role Summary

  • Function as part of the Investment Accounting team, reporting to the Investment Accounting Controller.
  • Lead investment accounting for public equities, derivatives, and hedge funds.
  • Ensure accurate investment financial reporting and maintain financial controls.

Role Requirements

  • Must hold ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualification or equivalent.
  • Experience in investments or financial services accounting, with knowledge of UK GAAP or IFRS.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Self-management skills with a focus on delivery and the ability to handle pressure and multiple priorities.

The role entails working within the Investment Accounting team in Finance reporting to Investment Accounting Controller. You will be responsible for providing accurate investment financial reporting, and ensuring appropriate financial controls are in place. This role will lead on investment accounting processes for Wellcome’s public equities, derivatives and hedge funds within the investment portfolio.

Job requirements include ACA/ACCA/CIMA or relevant qualification, Investments or financial services accounting (UK GAAP or IFRS) experience and excellent analytical and problem solving skills. You should be able to manage your own workload with focus on delivery and capable of working effectively under pressure, managing multiple team priorities.

We offer a hybrid way of working, currently working 2 days per week (Tuesdays and Wednesdays) from our Euston Road offices with the remaining 3 days working either remotely or in the office. From 1st September 2024 we will move to 3 days in the office (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday) with the remaining 2 days working either remotely or in the office.
