Role Summary:
- Directly report to the Head of the Foresight, Strategy & Coordination Department.
- Manage relationships with ESA directorates and internal/external stakeholders.
- Facilitate preparations for the ESA Council meeting at the ministerial level.
- Ensure the Agency’s strategic vision is consistently implemented across ESA.
Role Requirements:
- A Master's degree in science, economics, or politics.
- Multidisciplinary background with experience in space programmes and policy development.
- Capability to engage with diverse stakeholders and senior management.
- Fluency in English or French, with a preference for additional language skills.

The role: As a Strategic Coordination Officer in the Foresight, Strategy & Coordination Department, you will be reporting directly to the Head of Department. You will be responsible for managing relations within the ESA directorates and with other internal and external stakeholders on matters related to the preparation for the ESA Council meeting at ministerial level. You will work on developing a cohesive meeting, ensuring that the Agency’s strategic vision is understood and correctly applied across the Agency.
Job requirements: A master's in science, economics or politics is required for this post. A multidisciplinary background and a wide range of experience are required, including in space programmes and policy development, as well as in working in various cultural settings. A proven capacity to interact with different stakeholders, senior management and high-level external representatives.
Benefits: This post is classified A2 - A4 on the Coordinated Organisations’ salary scale. The working languages of the Agency are English and French. A good knowledge of one of these is required. Knowledge of another Member State language would be an asset.
