Role Summary

Role Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • 4 years of professional experience.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in French and English.
  • Proficiency in basic office tools, especially Excel or Google Sheets.
  • Good planning, deadline management and multitasking skills.
  • Willing to learn in a demanding environment and work in a rural, multicultural context.

Application Process Details

  • This role is available only to citizens or permanent residents of the Democratic Republic of Congo.
  • After 6 months of rotation and positive experience, there may be a chance to secure a permanent position with diverse career opportunities.

One Acre Fund was founded in 2006 and assists 5.5 million smallholder farmers to increase their farm productivity. We are present in nine countries, encompassing two-thirds of Africa's farmers, providing quality agricultural products, tree seedlings, accessible credit, modern agricultural training, and a wide range of other agricultural services. On average, this model allows any farmer to increase their income and assets by more than 35% on the land they cultivate, while sustainably improving their resilience. This is made possible by our team of over 9,000 full-time employees from diverse backgrounds and professions.

The role: As a Programme Rotation Junior, you will have the opportunity to work on both strategic and operational projects, collaborate with multiple departments, and develop a deep understanding of the operations of a program aimed at improving the quality of life for smallholder farmers in the DRC. You will be exposed to various themes such as program execution in the field, setting up internal systems, monitoring and evaluating activities, finance, HR, and organization operations. After 6 months of rotation, if your experience is positive, you may be offered a permanent position with diverse career progression opportunities.

Job requirements: A university degree (minimum Bachelor's level) in a relevant field such as Agriculture, Economics, Management, Development, Environmental Sciences, or a related field. No more than 4 years of professional experience. Excellent written and oral communication skills in French and knowledge of English. Proficiency in basic office tools, especially Excel or Google Sheets (creating simple tables, charts, data tracking). Good ability to plan your work, meet deadlines, and manage multiple tasks at once. A willingness to learn in a demanding environment. A desire to work in a rural and multicultural context, or in Kinshasa with frequent field trips. Some rotations will require you to be based in one of our field offices.
