Volunteer Trustee with marketing and sales experience to joint the board of a uniformed youth organisation.

What will you be doing?

Our charity is a well established and well respected organisation in the local area. We work with young people from the age of 10 to 18, and provide opportunities for them to develop new skills and knowledge in a supportive environment. We are looking for support to create a long term business plan that will allow the charity to generate the funds it requires to operate its building, which is it’s largest asset and it’s largest cost. We are also looking for someone to take the lead in applying for grant funding to support projects. Another area where we are looking for support is to market our organisation to attract new adult volunteers for both committee roles and youth training roles, which will allow the charity to grow its membership numbers within the community.

We require trustworthy, enthusiastic people who believe that young people can make great adults, who can in turn contribute positively to society. Our trustees work to support the work of our cadet force adult volunteers by ensuring that we have a safe, financially secure environment in which to operate our activities. Your ability to create new income streams and effective marketing campaigns is vital for the success of the charity.

What difference will you make?

As part of our board you would lead on all marketing and fundraising activities, using your expertise to create long term relationships with local businesses and partners to fund our charities work, and to assist in the development of recruitment campaigns for adult volunteers. The role of marketing and fundraising lead is vital to our continued existence as a community charity.
