Role Summary:Design and maintain modular components and guidelines for Moneybox's native apps.Collaborate with product design, research, and engineering teams to uphold and advance the Design System.Champion design consistency and efficiency while ensuring usability, visual quality, and accessibility.Contribute to strategic decisions by participating in the product roadmap.Foster a collaborative culture between design and engineering teams, promoting the benefits of Design Systems.Work on a hybrid basis from the London office with a focus on professional development and customer understanding.Participate in design community activities and continuously innovate to enhance user experience.

Role Requirements:3-5 years of experience in native app and web design, with a focus on visual design.Proven expertise in creating, maintaining, and scaling Design Systems.Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Token Studio, and Supernova/Zeroheight.An impressive portfolio showcasing Design System work.Understanding of accessibility requirements and implementation.Excellent communication skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.Interest in UI motion, interaction design principles, and the FinTech industry.Fast learner with a problem-solving mindset and a passion for delivering great user experiences.

Job brief

As a Product Designer—Design Systems, you'll directly contribute to our mission by delivering the foundations that help our product design and engineering teams consistently and efficiently deliver amazing customer experiences.

Reporting to our UI Lead, you'll be involved in every aspect of Design Systems, from designing modular components to writing straightforward guidelines and everything in between. Whilst this is primarily a craft role, you'll also have the opportunity to co-own the product roadmap and become a respected voice in strategic decisions.

You'll have 2-3 years of experience with Design Systems in a product-led organisation, with some time spent in a dedicated role. If you're a generalist, this role isn't for you—you'll thrive as a specialist with a systems-thinking mindset.

What You’ll Do

Creation of UI components, patterns, templates, and documentation for our native apps You will work directly with product design, research and engineering teams to apply, evolve, and maintain our Design System Work closely with designers to champion consistency and efficiency in design deliverables across our product with usability, visual quality, accessibility, and optimisation in mind Contribute to the roadmap to plan and drive Design System progress Evangelise Design Systems across the organisation, fostering collaboration between design and engineering teams You will report directly to the UI Lead and be based in the London office on a hybrid basis (2 days per week in the office, Monday’s and Wednesday’s) You’ll have weekly 1-2-1 sessions with your line manager to encourage development and growth Develop a deep understanding of Moneybox customers, products and our app Continuously deliver iterations and innovation in order to achieve the best experience, utilising research when required Use a combination of data and colleague and customer feedback to refine and optimise our Design System You’ll be a part of the wider Moneybox design team and participate in design reviews and design community activities

Who you are

A designer with 3-5 years previous experience of native app and web design and demonstrable expertise in visual design Previous experience in a Design System design role - creating, maintaining and/or scaling a Design System Proficiency with tools like Figma, Token Studio, Supernova/Zeroheight or similar Impressive portfolio demonstrating examples of Design System deliverables (components, patterns, documentation and guidelines for a variety of stakeholders) Knowledge of accessibility requirements and how to implement them effectively Keen interest in UI motion and interaction design principles You’re a great communicator, tailoring your approach for different audiences Work well autonomously but comfortable collaborating with other designers and engineers Quick learner, always open-minded and curious, and eager to learn new skills Ability to think on your feet, adapt and convey your ideas and thought process What drives you is delivering great experiences and solving problems You thrive in a fast paced environment where you can use lightweight processes, creative ideas and quick iteration to have a huge impact Love showing your work often because it’s how you improve Have an interest in the FinTech industry  Passionate about helping people build wealth
