The role - what the role entails An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our team of five as Production Assistant. Reporting to the Head of Production, your primary responsibility will be looking after the paperback list – first outing and reprints. You will be part of a busy and collaborative group and will work closely with all internal teams, as well as liaising with outside suppliers such as printers. You will ensure that every project is produced on time, within budget, and is of the highest quality.

Job requirements The ideal candidate will be highly organised, with a keen eye for detail and an enthusiasm for books and the publishing world. Problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude are essential, along with excellent organisational and time-management skills. IT skills (knowledge of Office is essential and familiarity with Adobe products and Biblio desirable).

Benefits The role is a full-time permanent position with a salary of £27,000. The role is based at our London office on a hybrid-working pattern of 2 days office based / 3 days home based (or fully office based if preferred). As an Assistant role, this position is eligible for Bloomsbury’s Rental Deposit Loan Scheme. To assist candidates who want to start and to establish a career in publishing, Bloomsbury offers an interest-free rental deposit to support securing somewhere to live. The rental deposit loan can be up to £3,000 and will be paid back over 2 years.
