  • Develop key messaging and value propositions targeted at school leaders.
  • Bridge gaps between Product, Marketing, and Sales teams, facilitating a cohesive strategy.
  • Collect and analyze product feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Design compelling external communications for new features and updates.
  • Create persuasive sales and marketing materials.
  • Conduct competitive intelligence research to guide strategic decisions.
  • Utilize customer insights to ensure messaging aligns with user needs.
  • Proven experience in Product Marketing or Growth Product Management.
  • Strong content creation, curation, and research skills.
  • Ability to translate complex concepts into clear, impactful messages.
  • Skilled in writing and delivering engaging pitches and presentations.
  • Data-driven decision-making capabilities.
  • Established cross-functional collaboration and project management skills.
  • Edtech and SaaS experience preferred but not essential.

What’s it all about?

MyTutor seeks a mission-driven Product Marketer to act as the voice of the customer and connect the dots between product and commercial initiatives. The right candidate will have a passion for helping school leaders, families and learners achieve scholastic success in school and at home. 

The role offers a unique opportunity to develop and refine the value proposition for B2B school leaders. As such, the role combines the foundational product marketing work of product launches with commercial experimentation and enablement. This role offers the right candidate the chance to expand our Product Marketing function and make a significant impact on the strategic direction of a growing, mission-driven company.

The Day to Day

  • Create foundational messaging to inform MyTutor’s value propositions to school leaders.
  • Serve as a connector among Product, Marketing and Sales to ensure each team is engaged and ready to translate product vision into commercial reality
  • Distil product feedback and requests from commercial teams for product teams to inform their work
  • Create external communications to schools, families and learners regarding new products and features. Translate product benefits into exciting updates for platform users. 
  • Perfect pitch decks for Sales to use with schools and Marketing to use with channel partners. 
  • Understand the unique pain points of school leaders and adjust core messaging to address their concerns
  • Partner with Copywriting and Campaign Marketing to feed messaging framework language into online properties and offline materials. 
  • Own customer-facing collateral, such as product newsletters and demo videos, that demonstrates our products’ innovation and ease of use
  • Own competitive intelligence research to inform pricing and product roadmaps 
  • Leverage research from Product and Customer Experience Teams to ensure that messaging about our products resonates with our customers

Requirements

Who will you be?

  • You are able to work from our London office at least 2+ days per week.
  • You have established a few years’ experience in Product Marketing or Growth Product Management with an emphasis on collateral creation
  • You thrive when you spend the majority of your time creating, curating and researching content for specific buyers about innovative products
  • You have a knack for translating complex product documentation into exciting, digestible benefits for a specific audience
  • You have a passion for writing and delivering pitches and presentations
  • Your primary expertise lies in crafting the right message in order to increase a product or commercial KPI
  • You aren’t afraid to dive deep into the data underpinning assumptions about how and why our customers make the decisions that they do
  • You can easily name Product, Sales and Marketing leaders with whom you have a great reciprocal relationship
  • You have excellent interpersonal skills and experience driving cross-functional projects end-to-end. Ability to negotiate and influence priorities across organisations at all levels
  • You ideally have Edtech and SaaS experience, but it’s not a dealbreaker

Interview process

  1. A screening call with a member of the Talent team to discuss your relevant experience to the role and give you further information on MyTutor and the role itself.
  2. 1st Interview Stage: A competency & skills based interview with the Hiring Managers.
  3. 2nd Interview: Case Study/Task Presentation with our Chief Revenue Officer and two members of the hiring team.
  4. Final Interview: ‘Culture & Values Add: A discussion with a MyTutor employee outside of the hiring team where they will ask you a series of questions based on our Behaviours & Values. During this round, we’re not looking for a ‘culture fit’ but focused on where you can add to our existing values and what your own values might add to the culture and work of the team.
