We identify the need and raise funds to close and prevent gaps in services and protections for refugees and displaced people requiring humanitarian support due to conflict, persecution and natural disasters. We elevate the voices and visibility of refugees and galvanise public support for agile community organisations providing vital support to refugees along migration routes globally. The Role: This role will be involved in the input and maintenance of accurate financial data in the financial system to enable timely reporting on available balances for grant making and accurate reporting back to donors. This will be an evolving role in an experienced finance team aiming to support a fast-moving charity in its humanitarian endeavours. You will work closely with all departments to ensure invoices are processed quickly and accurately to keep funds flowing to the partners working towards the life changing objectives of the organisation. You will receive extensive on the job training to support you to progress within a finance role.

Job requirements: At least 2 years’ experience of proven track record of Finance Officer or similar role. Experience using Xero or a similar financial system. Excellent written and verbal communication. Good knowledge of accounting and financial monitoring systems. Highly numerate, with experience of monitoring budgets against expenditure and using Excel to record, manipulate and interpret data. Self-starter with a can-do attitude. Able to work independently and collaboratively, prioritising workload to meet deadlines. Someone who will remain positive, calm and professional under pressure. Is very organised with the ability to work under pressure. Focused, with meticulous attention to detail and the ability to spot discrepancies within datasets and text.

Desirable experience: Knowledge and understanding of the wider charity sector including Charity Commission regulations. Excellent IT skills, including in Microsoft Office/Google Workspace.
