- Devise and maintain MANUAL's brand tone of voice.
- Lead and manage freelance copywriters.

Our ambition is to extend the healthy years of lives for a large part of the population in the UK, Brazil, and beyond, focusing on life-impeding conditions like hormonal imbalance, obesity and hair loss. We are centralising the diagnosis, custom medications, doctor specialist services, behavioural change and fully vertically integrated management of the treatment journey, under one roof and consumer brand.
As the Lead Copywriter, you will be entrusted with the responsibility of shaping and defining the tone of voice for MANUAL and our sub-brands. You will lead a team of freelancers in creating captivating copy for various communication channels, ensuring consistency and alignment with our brand values and objectives. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact by establishing our brand as a leader in the UK healthcare landscape through powerful storytelling and engaging copy.
Job requirements include a Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Marketing, Communications, or related field. Proven experience (7+ years) working as a copywriter in an agency or in-house creative team, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role. Exceptional writing and editing skills with a keen eye for detail and a strong command of grammar, syntax, and punctuation. Portfolio demonstrating a range of successful copywriting projects across different channels and industries. Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a team, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment. Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks, manage deadlines, and coordinate resources effectively. Proficiency in SEO principles and techniques for optimising copy for search engines. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate ideas clearly and provide constructive feedback. Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a passion for storytelling and a deep understanding of audience psychology. Experience with A/B testing and data analysis tools preferred. Knowledge of advertising, medical regulations and compliance standards is a plus but not necessary.
