  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and stakeholders to dissect technical requirements.
  • Design and implement A/B testing in our Android app to optimize user experience.
  • Manage the entire lifecycle of Android applications, from development to deployment.
  • Ensure code quality through comprehensive testing and maintain documentation.
  • Maintain and improve module stability and availability.
  • Proactively monitor and enhance app performance.
  • Uphold high engineering standards and promote best practices within the team.
  • A minimum of 6 years of proven experience in Android app development.
  • Expertise in Kotlin and familiarity with RESTful APIs and JSON.
  • A solid grasp of SOLID principles, system design, data structures, and algorithms.
  • Experience with high-volume data handling.
  • Knowledge of e-commerce is a plus.
  • Exceptional English communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and a commitment to collaborative teamwork.

At Otrium you will work with talented people from all around the world and use agile development principles. In this role, you will be improving the shopping experience of our customers on the Android app by running various tests using A/B testing. The features rolled out will directly impact our customers’ experience and speed up the company’s growth. 

Your responsibilities:

You will be part of the B2C Engineering Department, who will contribute to upscaling our development standards and will make sure that we keep delivering an excellent shopping experience to Otrium customers. This is what you will be doing: 


  • Work with Product managers, designers and stakeholders to technically break down requirements
  • Build and setup A/B testing in App to iterate on features that enhance user experience.
  • Lead end to end deployment of clean, maintainable, optimised and scalable Android applications from concept to deployment.
  • Write comprehensive unit/integration tests
  • Be the owner of existing/new modules, ensuring stability & availability
  • Set up monitoring and implementing improvements proactively
  • Provide clear technical documentation to both business and tech teams
  • Promote engineering excellence and best practices within the team

What you'll bring to the team:

You are an experienced Software Engineer, you know what it takes to deliver great code and you feel comfortable building improvements to existing features and processes. You take ownership and are outcome driven. You have a positive mindset, and always think of solutions rather than problems. Besides that you have; 


  • 6+ years of strong, demonstrable experience and interest in building Android applications
  • Proficiency in Kotlin programming language
  • Experience with RESTful APIs, JSON, and event driven architecture
  • Strong understanding of SOLID principles, system design, data structures, and algorithms
  • Proficiency in test planning and case creation
  • Extensive experience handling high-volume data
  • Knowledge of e-commerce is considered a valuable asset
  • Exceptional communication skills in English, both written and verbal
  • Willingness to work in a fast paced development environment
  • Collaborative, adaptable, humble, and genuine team player skills
