The Role The Marketing Intern will support various marketing initiatives aimed at expanding reach, driving engagement, and monetizing loyalty. They will report to the Director of Audience Development and work closely with our Marketing and Operations Strategist. Candidates for this position should have some familiarity with project management, analytics and social media. TED seeks a dedicated individual who is passionate about understanding people, culture, brands, and storytelling.

Responsibilities Marketing Strategy & Execution Create bespoke content for social media channels to support priority marketing initiatives, including TED Membership, TED Games and Conferences Collaborate with colleagues and other internal resources to develop and execute digital marketing tactics, including building newsletter ads, Web banners and social media posts Recommend marketing strategies aligned with project goals, and informed by data and research Support with building and optimizing newsletter and banner ad placements Research & Data Conduct competitive analyses to inform marketing strategy and approach Support ad hoc reporting needs, including analyzing marketing data to determine an optimal approach Organization & Ops Assist the Marketing and Operations Strategist in coordinating projects and deadlines across teams Help with ad hoc Marketing team coordination (deck/slides creation, scheduling)

Job Requirements Solid writing and communication skills, and an eye for design and storytelling Proficiency with social media channels such as Instagram, LinkedIn and TikTok Organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment Some experience with data analysis Fluency with Google Calendar, Google Docs, Gmail, and Keynote Desire to learn, as we know that everyone starts from somewhere Passionate about TED's content and mission, and about helping to support TED’s leadership

This is a full-time, paid internship in the TED office in Manhattan with the option to work remotely for part of each week. The internship will last 12 weeks June 3-Aug 23, and be paid at an hourly rate of $20/per hour.
