Volunteer Trustee with Marketing experience and expertise to join our Board of our community competitive swim club

What will you be doing?

Our Sports Club/Charity is in need of a dynamic Marketing Trustee to develop and implement a marketing strategy to increase visibility and outreach for our Charity, fulfilling our aim and objectives - to save lives, promote health/wellbeing by providing free water safety/swim programmes to underserved local people, tackling inequalities in our swimming participation.   We will be changing our legal status to become a CIO Limited by Guarantee.   We have excellent project delivery but lack knowledge/expertise in Marketing.   We are looking for an enthusiastic Trustee with Marketing expertise/experience to provide us with strategic marketing leadership, ensuring our Charity is well managed, resources appropriately used and positively publicised, especially across our social media channels.  As a member of the Trustee Board you will have full decision making responsibilities.   You will establish relationships between supporters, beneficiaries and our Charity. Devise and manage marketing and communication initiatives using traditional and digital media. Perform marketing research within our Community and wider network to enhance our publicity and reach.  Use research findings to generate leads, raise positive awareness of our Charity's work using a range of Marketing resources.   Increase audience mailing lists. Building a media list for press releases and social media campaigns. Driving traffic to our website.   Your qualities involve being passionate about your field of expertise and utilising your skills/expertise to help raise the profile of our Charity.   Have excellent communication skills and ablility to collaborate with the Board of Trustees, team of Junior Marketing volunteers. An ability to think creatively. Competent digital skills. Have an understanding and acceptance of the legal duties, responsibilities and liabilities of trusteeship. Help recruit, develop, mentor a team of local volunteer junior marketing enthusiasts to able to work independently and as part of a team effectively and productively on marketing projects for our charity.

Passionate about being involved in a inclusive diverse Charity, engaging with local community.   Driven to ensure our Charity has engaging and creative marketing campaigns.   Excellent at working independently and as a team.   Excellent communication and leadership skills. Have integrity and a kind personality. Willing to share your ideas knowledge and skills with the Board and junior marketing team.
