  • Lead partnership and payment operations, fostering the business health of Monzo's ecosystem.
  • Act as the main contact for the Bank, resolving issues and developing alignment with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with Product and Ops teams to launch new products and optimize partnerships.
  • Implement and maintain performance metrics, managing SLAs and partner relationships.
  • Identify operational gaps and manage incident response with a proactive approach.
  • Proven experience in managing Fintech partnerships and payment operations.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a history of managing performance and SLAs.
  • Ability to build relationships, collaborate, and resolve issues with partners.
  • Excellent project management skills and the ability to handle complex projects.
  • Analytical mindset with a focus on data-driven decisions.
  • Familiarity with consumer banking regulations and compliance requirements.

We’re a small team operating like an early stage startup in the US but with the financial, operational, and engineering platform muscle of a larger company. The Role

Are you a dynamic problem solver who thrives on managing complex partnerships? As Monzo’s Partner & Payment Operations Manager, you will lead our partnership and payment operations ecosystem. This role will be responsible for the performance and business health of all of our partnerships and vendors, including owning the relationship of our most critical partnership, our Issuing bank.  

What you’ll be working on:

  • Own all partnership and payment operations relationships end-to-end
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all issues touching the Bank, and own the resolution of these issues, including prioritizing, problem solving, seeking alignment internally and externally 
  • Partner with Product and Ops stakeholders to launch new products, develop Bank approval plans, and build new processes to optimize our partnerships
  • Design and implement key metrics to monitor the performance and business health of our partner ecosystem
  • Manage the performance and SLAs of our partners and vendors
  • Proactively identify and resolve gaps, and manage our incident response process

You should apply if: 

  • You have experience managing Fintech partnerships and payment operations
  • You love solving complex problems and have a track record of managing performance and SLAs
  • You have built strong relationships and collaborate with partners to reach alignment and resolve issues
  • You can drive clarity amidst ambiguity and focus on the things that matter
  • You are organized and have managed complex projects with multiple stakeholders
  • You are analytical and make data driven decisions 
  • You are familiar with regulations and compliance requirements within consumer banking

The Interview Process:

Our interview process involves four main stages: 

  • Recruiter Call (30mins)
  • Initial Call (30 mins)
  • Take Home Task (to be completed within 7 days)
  • x3 final interviews via Google Meet (45 mins each)
