Role Summary:

  • Deliver first-level remote technology support with excellent customer service and swift problem-solving.
  • Manage a team of Service Desk Technicians and oversee service desk operations and knowledge management.
  • Work on medium-scope projects in compliance with ITSM standards.
  • Take up a hybrid work model from Nairobi or Kakamega in Kenya, or Kigali in Rwanda.


Role Requirements:

  • 2-3+ years in a Service Desk/IT support role, including people management experience.
  • ITIL Foundation certification (or equivalent).
  • Strong ITSM practice across incident/request/problem and change management with adherence to SLA.
  • Hands-on experience with Jira Service Management and exceptional troubleshooting skills across applications, hardware, and software.
  • Demonstrated knowledge management capabilities.
  • Proven experience in leading medium-scope projects, driving process improvements, and identifying automation/cost-reduction opportunities.

The role: As a Service Desk Administrator, you will deliver first-level remote technology support, ensuring excellent customer service and quick resolution of inquiries. This involves managing a small team of Service Desk Technicians, overseeing service desk operations, and engaging in documentation/knowledge management and medium-scope project work within ITSM standards. You will work hybrid from Nairobi or Kakamega in Kenya, or Kigali in Rwanda.

Job requirements: Candidates should have 2–3+ years in a Service Desk/IT support role, including some people management experience. You should hold an ITIL Foundation certification (or similar) and have strong ITSM practice across incident/request/problem and change management with SLA discipline. Hands-on experience with Jira Service Management and solid troubleshooting skills across applications, hardware, and software are essential. You should also have proven knowledge management capabilities and experience in leading medium-scope projects, driving process improvements, and identifying automation/cost-reduction opportunities.
