What will you be doing?
As a volunteer for young Women in STEM Careers, your primary role is to promote our STEM programs within the community.This role will involve engaging with schools, community centres, libraries and other organisations to raise awareness, recruit participants, and foster partnerships. You will also assist with documentation, reporting and evaluation of programs.You will engage with students through mentorship activities, both one-on-one and in group settings online and face-2-face. In addition to your duties, you are expected to share information about STEM education initiatives on social media platforms and also act as an advocate for STEM education in your community, encouraging participation and support. What are we looking for?
GCSE/Level 2 equivalent in Maths and English Enhanced DBS checked - paper copy of certificate and DBS Update service. Previous experience in outreach projects Enthusiasm for STEM education and Mentorship. Availability to dedicate a flexible number of hours per week/month to volunteer activities.
This role is a hybrid role.
