What will you be doing?
As a Stem Instructor for Young learners, Your primary role is to deliver engaging STEM activities, share Stem curriculum ideas, prepare STEM resources, and conduct one-on-one and group STEM activities. You will help design and deliver captivating Stem sessions such as Science Projects, Technology sessions (coding in python, html, robotics and Scratch), Maths challenge, mini-Engineer innovation projects. You will also run, #BeMedigitalinclusion workshops at our Annual Sustainable Tech Event and during term time. Facilitating and fostering collaboration among students will be key in order to give them hands-on STEM experiences. The ideal candidate will excel in creating interactive learning environments, leveraging innovative teaching methods, and inspiring curiosity in our comprehensive STEM Program. Stem activities will be delivered during term time and holiday time. A term lasts between 6 - 7 weeks long. Each session will be 60 minutes to 90 minutes long online or in-person. Stem Instructors will liaise closely with the Volunteer Lead, Bemedigitalinclusion Coordinator and the Young Learners.
What are we looking for?
Effective communication skills Strong content knowledge in Stem Education Adaptability and innovation Experience with working with Young People Collaboration and teamwork Possession of a valid Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check or willingness to undergo the process.
