Role Summary:

  • Deliver 8 sessions over 8 weeks at local schools, each lasting about an hour.
  • Focus on vital skills like communication, goal setting, and problem solving.
  • Take participants on a 'World of Work' visit to expose them to real workplace settings.

Role Requirements:

  • Superb communicators who can facilitate group activities confidently.
  • No specific educational background required, but a sincere interest in youth development is crucial.
  • Commitment to support two programmes per academic year and attend at least six of the eight sessions per programme.

For this role, you will undergo mandatory in-person training at the Liverpool centre, and up to 3 hours of online training. Become a part of a devoted community of volunteers with full training and support from a King's Trust Youth Development Lead.

The King's Trust is excited to offer an opportunity to join our team as a volunteer Education Mentor in Liverpool. This role is part of our Mosaic programme, a group mentoring scheme aimed at learners aged 11-18. The programme is designed to raise aspirations, build self-belief, and develop employability skills among young people.

The role: As an Education Mentor, you will deliver 8 mentoring sessions over 8 weeks at local schools. Each session lasts about one hour and focuses on essential skills such as communication, goal setting, and problem solving. The programme concludes with a 'World of Work' visit, giving participants a glimpse into real workplace environments.

Job requirements: We are looking for volunteers who are excellent communicators and confident in facilitating group activities.
