Role Summary

The King's Trust is excited to offer an opportunity to join our team as a Volunteer Education Mentor in Birmingham. This role is crucial in delivering the Mosaic programme, a group mentoring scheme aimed at learners aged 11-18. The programme is designed to raise aspirations, build self-belief, and enhance employability skills among young people.
The role: As an Education Mentor, you will be responsible for delivering 8 mentoring sessions over 8 weeks at local schools. Each session lasts about one hour, focusing on essential skills such as communication, goal setting, and problem solving. The programme concludes with a 'World of Work' visit, providing a real-world experience at a local employer. This role requires a commitment to support two programmes per academic year and attend at least six out of the eight sessions per programme.
Job requirements: Successful candidates do not need an educational background but must be excellent communicators and confident in facilitating group activities. A genuine interest in youth development and a collaborative spirit are essential.
