Role Summary
- Responsible for maintaining and enhancing lab testing specifications and standards.
- Work closely with various stakeholders including factory partners, material suppliers, and both development and commercialisation teams.
- Ensure all materials, components, and finished goods adhere to stringent in-house and external quality, safety and performance benchmarks.
- Oversee testing protocols, ensure compliance with international standards and provide technical expertise for product development.
Role Requirements
- An academic background in Engineering, Materials Science, Product Design or a related area, along with a minimum of 5 years' experience in a footwear or materials testing lab.
- Strong proactive problem-solving skills, excellent organizational abilities and personal drive for setting up new systems.
- Excellent communication skills in both English and Vietnamese.
- A passion for sustainability, innovation and regenerative design.
- Strong understanding of international footwear testing standards and experience with lab management systems and data analysis tools.

This role offers the flexibility to travel to the South as needed.
The role: As a Lab Manager at Vivobarefoot, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and upgrading our lab testing specifications and standards. You will work closely with our network of factory partners and material suppliers, as well as our development and commercialisation teams. Your main goal will be to ensure that all materials, components, and finished products meet our rigorous internal and external quality, safety, and performance standards. This includes overseeing testing protocols, maintaining compliance with international standards, and providing technical insights to support product development.
Job requirements: The ideal candidate will have a degree in Engineering, Materials Science, Product Design, or a related field, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a footwear or materials testing lab. You should be a proactive problem-solver, organized, self-sufficient, and capable of setting up new systems from scratch. Excellent communication skills in both English and Vietnamese are essential, as is a passion for sustainability, innovation, and regenerative design. Strong knowledge of international footwear testing standards and experience with lab management systems and data analysis tools are also required.
