Role Summary:Expand the franchise network by selling sanitation products and services.Drive customer acquisition and retention activities.Lead the sales and customer lifecycle, from lead generation to payment collection.Develop strategies for customer base growth within the sales area.Ensure high client satisfaction through continuous engagement.Conduct market mapping and data collection for territory validation.Achieve sales targets and manage customer relationships efficiently.

Role Requirements:A Diploma/Degree in Business or a related field.At least 2 years of field-based sales experience.Experience working in informal settlements.A proven track record of exceeding sales targets.Excellent communication skills and fluency in English and Nyanja.Strong relationship-building capacity.A driven, outgoing, and proactive nature.Effective planning and organizational skills.

Fresh Life works with municipalities and urban residents to develop and scale safe, citywide inclusive and financially sustainable sanitation solutions in fast-growing cities. We are currently operational in 3 major cities in Kenya and 1 city in Zambia (Kafue- Zambia Compound). Our innovative solutions are designed to suit the realities of today’s cities, which are densely populated and heavily built up, particularly in low-income areas.

The role of the Sales Associate is to expand our franchise network, by identifying and selling our sanitation products and services. You will be responsible for customer acquisition and retention, leading the sales and customer life cycle – including generating leads, pursuing opportunities, closing deals, managing the resulting customer relationships, and collecting future recurring payments.

Duties and Responsibilities include Customer Acquisition and Retention, establishing plans and strategies to expand the customer base in the assigned sales area, maintaining contact with clients in the market area to ensure high levels of client satisfaction, mapping and data collection to enable validation of a specific market territory, meeting established sales targets, goals, and quotas within the assigned territory, ensuring 100% collections of monthly service fee payments, generating leads, pursuing opportunities and closing deals, and undertaking careful record-keeping processes.

Qualifications required for this role include a Diploma/Degree in a Business related course, 2+ years experience working in a field-based sales role, comfortability working in informal settlements, a proven track record of consistently exceeding targets, ability to effectively communicate at all levels, fluency in English and Nyanja, ability to build relationships, determination to succeed, outgoing and proactive nature, and planning and organisational skills.
