Role Summary

The GOOD Agency are looking for a Junior Planner to support senior planners on communication strategy for our large charity clients, to help measure the effectiveness of our communications to prove our work is really working. We're looking for someone to use direct response communications to raise funds, change behaviour and mobilise the public to take action on social issues, whilst championing creative thinking within our planning team and the wider agency, by generating insight and inspiration.

Key Responsibilities: Insight & Strategy - Conduct desk research on a variety of subject matters and causes. Conduct competitor, brand, channel and fundraising audits. Conduct stakeholder interviews, voxpops, internal workshops and focus groups, with support. Turn information gathered from all of the above into insights that will inspire communications strategy. Write insightful and concise creative briefs to inspire our creative teams with your strategic direction. Write clear and comprehensive task briefs for more executional communication tasks. Present research, strategy and information internally and to clients.

Measuring effectiveness - Produce data reports, analysing the performance of our advertising campaigns and giving clear recommendations.

Client Development - Support senior planners and client services to grow our large existing clients. Build client relationships that develop our understanding of clients problems. Support quarterly planning meetings with key clients, providing inspiration such as sector trends or competitor campaigns with a point of view on why they worked or didn’t.

Business Development - Support more senior strategists who are working on pitches and proposals for new clients by helping them gather information and insight. Produce round ups of trends and campaigns in our sector that might inspire clients, explaining what’s noteworthy about them. Support the GOOD marketing team by finding information and insight for our own events, blog posts and proprietary thinking.

Team and Agency Culture - Share inspiration and learning at planning team meetings, to grow the team’s knowledge of industry, cultural and technological trends. Contribute to agency culture making it a happier and more interesting place to work that functions well.
