The King's Trust is excited to offer an opportunity to work as a Youth Development Lead in our Enterprise department, focusing on supporting young entrepreneurs aged 18–30 in Scotland. This role is instrumental in guiding young people through the First Minister’s Start-Up Challenge, helping them turn their innovative business ideas into successful enterprises.
The role: As a Youth Development Lead, you will manage a caseload of young participants, guiding them through the stages of business development including idea shaping, concept testing, and business planning. You will work closely with our partners at Dechomai, a leading social enterprise, to deliver high-impact training and tailored support, ensuring each young entrepreneur is prepared for the challenges of self-employment. The role requires travel across Scotland to support our programme delivery and involves a combination of office days and working from home.
Job requirements: The ideal candidate will be passionate about youth development and have a strong commitment to fostering entrepreneurial skills in young people. You will be expected to manage essential administration and data to maintain the quality and impact of the programme.
