Job summary:
 

We are looking for an experienced Product Designer to join the development team and help us design product interfaces that are intuitive, reassuring to use and look great.

We are looking for someone who can lead the development and implementation of a design system, working with the constraints of an existing product and team.

You will be a highly motivated and experienced designer with many years of experience designing interfaces for complex systems and have a passion for the subject and be eager to share your knowledge with others.

Your effective collaboration and communication skills will foster a cohesive and cross-functional work environment. You will thrive on autonomy, and be a confident coach and leader, focused on delivering a high-impact product for our customers.

Requirements

Overall job responsibilities:  

• Proactive management and improvements to the existing design system.
• Work with researchers to test and validate new interface designs and approaches.
• Work with the product development team, pms, designers and engineers to build new features and improve existing ones.
• Documenting decisions, knowledge, and processes
• Line management responsibilities as well as supporting the wider team members with advice, guidance and mentorship.

Technical skills & knowledge:

Essential

• 2 or more years in a senior or lead role
• 7 or more years of recent product design experience with a SaaS product, preferably in a dynamic scaling market, with a strong portfolio showcasing your work in similar product-based companies.
• Recent experience building and implementing a design system including researching, validating and writing up.
• Line management experience with proven experience in mentoring/leading a diverse team with the ability to forge strong working relationships across the business and drive remote collaboration.
• Demonstrable experience designing successful product interfaces.
• Demonstrated ability to work with and influence stakeholders.
• Experience working with very large or complex applications.
• Ability to work in a fast growth and quick deliverable environment.
• A passion for all things design and a desire to share your knowledge and experience with others.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to work independently, and within a team, and able to prioritise work accordingly.
• Experience working for an international company.

Desired

• A familiarity with share schemes and company structures.
• Experience working with large and complex datasets.
• Experience working with tools like Jira, Miro & Figma.
