Role Summary

  • Join the Research funding team within Discovery to provide clear and efficient guidance to users about funding processes.
  • Assist colleagues and applicants in navigating application routes, understanding requirements, and accessing needed information.
  • Contribute to the maintenance of high-quality grant information and enhance funding systems and processes.
  • Participate in delivering training across the organisation.

Role Requirements

  • Previous experience in a customer-focused role, preferably on a Helpdesk or systems support.
  • High-level computer literacy and experience in training design and/or delivery.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Comfortable with presenting to colleagues at all levels.

The Role: As a Funding Information Adviser, you will be part of the Research funding team within Discovery, reporting to the Funding Information Manager. Your role is crucial in ensuring that everyone engaging with Wellcome's funding processes receives clear, accurate, and timely guidance. You will help colleagues and applicants navigate application routes, understand requirements, and access necessary information for successful applications. Additionally, you will contribute to maintaining high-quality grant information, delivering training across the organisation, and improving systems and processes that enable Wellcome to fund work addressing urgent health challenges.

Job Requirements: To be successful in this role, you should have experience working on a Helpdesk, in systems support, or in another customer-focused role. High-level computer literacy and experience in training design and/or delivery are essential. You should be organized, calm under pressure, comfortable presenting to colleagues at all levels, and proactive in finding practical solutions.
