As a Senior Legal Counsel, you will be part of our in-house legal team, providing specialist legal advice with strategic insight and commercial awareness while managing risk effectively. You will be supporting both the UK Charity and its trading subsidiary, and our international offices. We have two roles available, one focusing on supporting our Programme Teams and the other focusing on supporting the Network and Philanthropy Teams.

Your main responsibilities will include providing expert advice to the Foundation, leading on devising, drafting, reviewing and negotiating a wide range of complex agreements, identifying and advising on a broad range of legal, compliance and regulatory issues, and proactively seeking opportunities to improve operational working practices and systems.

The ideal candidate will be a qualified solicitor in England and Wales or equivalent with 4+ years PQE. Experience of working in-house is essential, along with strong commercial contracting experience. A working knowledge of charity law compliance, data protection and privacy, intellectual property, employment and competition law would be strongly preferred.

The role offers a salary package of circa £63k per annum dependent on experience level plus generous holiday allowance, generous parental leave, enhanced pension options/private health scheme after 6 months, and a wellbeing programme. The role may be remote in the UK or based in our offices in Cowes, Isle of Wight.
