  • Role Summary:
  • Analyze and interpret fundraising and communications data to provide actionable insights.
  • Support the Public Engagement department in setting and monitoring Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Create and manage analytical tools, reports, and dashboards.
  • Conduct regular data analysis and share insights to drive data-informed decision-making.
  • Facilitate training for team members on metrics tracking and evaluation.
  • Coordinate the collection of data for PMEL, annual reports, and fundraising efforts.
  • Role Requirements:
  • Minimum of four years in data analysis.
  • Proficient with Google Suite, Meltwater, Salesforce, and similar systems.
  • Experienced in setting and evaluating KPIs and performance trends.
  • Strong problem-solving, planning, and management skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Proactive and flexible, with excellent English language and interpersonal skills.
  • Understanding of global climate change debates and commitment to racial justice and equity.
  • Desirable skills include social media knowledge, remote work experience, and multilingual abilities.
  • Willingness to occasionally travel internationally.

350.org is looking for a detailed-oriented analyst that can distill fundraising and communications data into actionable insights.

Our online campaigns, grassroots organizing, and mass public actions are led from the bottom up by thousands of volunteer organizers in over 188 countries. 350.org works hard to organize in a new way—everywhere at once, using online tools to facilitate strategic offline action. About the Senior Engagement Analyst

The ideal Senior Engagement Analyst will be someone who is data-driven, organized and has great analytical skills. These skills will be used to help the Public Engagement department measure progress towards and reflect on its main success indicators. The Senior Engagement Analyst supports the Public Engagement Department to coordinate the setting of KPIs and monitoring progress. This role plays an active role alongside communications, product and fundraising to turn team and department goals into quantifiable measurements, reports and dashboards that inform progress. 

Key outputs include: 

  • Public Engagement Planning, monitoring, evaluation and learning (PMEL) and narrative reports
  • Regular data analysis, trend spotting and sharing insights with the department to foster data-driven reflection and decision-making
  • Training and skills development of team members for better metrics tracking and evaluation
  • Coordinate the use of, and trainings on, team tools to achieve more streamlined monitoring and evaluation systems
  • Project management of the dashboard creation process for public engagement teams
  • Coordination of PMEL, annual report and fundraising information gathering processes

Required Qualifications

  • At least four (4) years of relevant experience in data analysis 
  • Proficient in Google Suite, Meltwater, Salesforce, Falcon, Slack, and Zoom or similar systems
  • Experienced in data gathering, analysis, and reporting. Familiar with setting and evaluating Key Performance Indicators, goals, and related performance trends
  • Excellent teamwork, problem solving, program planning and management skills
  • Keen attention to detail 
  • Flexible and proactive mindset
  • Ability to manage self and others
  • Excellent command of the English language (written and conversational)
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Working knowledge of and keen interest in the current global debates on climate change, energy, and climate justice
  • Ability to integrate diversity, equity, and inclusion in day to day work
  • Professional experience in an international and/or multi-cultural environment and with remote teams
  • Competencies and skills related to racial justice and equity

Desired (but not required) skills and experiences

  • Strong working knowledge of traditional and social media 
  • Experience working remotely, ideally in an international context
  • Experience working in nongovernmental organization or nonprofit sector
  • Experience with general data collection
  • Experience and competency working in multicultural groups
  • Experience working and living in multiple countries
  • Multilingual
  • Able to travel internationally on occasion

We are looking for someone who is comfortable working both independently and in teams, highly responsive, and able to lead initiatives as well as take direction from others.

Position Type: 1 year temporary role, Full time, 100% FTE
