Location: UK - London

Compensation: £57,000 - £75,000 / year

Description

A bit about Field

Field is an international builder, owner, operator, of renewable infrastructure. Our Founder and CEO is a successful entrepreneur who previously co-founded a green energy supplier. We have robust pipelines of BESS projects across the UK, Italy, Spain, and Germany - and strong financial backing. Our most recent fundraise was a £200 million investment from DIF Capital Partners. This will support our mission to grow internationally, and ultimately to build and develop a robust global BESS portfolio.

We are an eclectic team with varied backgrounds. Our team has experience scaling billion dollar tech start-ups and building energy companies, as well as deep specialisms in the energy markets. You will learn from and work with a bunch of fun, curious, and entrepreneurial people who really want to make an impact. Together, we will show that batteries are a totally viable part of our energy infrastructure - now, not in some distant future. We have ambitious plans to become the defining new clean energy player in Europe over the next few years, gradually expanding beyond batteries into new asset types.

Your Mission

The Senior Permitting Project Manager role is critical to the development of Field’s UK pipeline of battery energy storage system projects. In this role, you will be responsible for the project management of a number of our greenfield development projects, taking projects from concept design phase through to construction.

Assisted by in-house design, grid, land and legal teams, you will lead projects through the consenting phase. You will be responsible for all elements of project management required to successfully deliver a pipeline of ready-to-build projects ready for handover to construction.

  • Management of planning application process for greenfield projects, including:

    • Management of external environmental and planning consultants to deliver all assessments needed to support a planning application
    • Management of external consultants to deliver site investigations and surveys to inform site design
    • Working with in-house design team to collate technical site information and act as Principle Designer to develop site specific designs suitable for planning
    • Stakeholder engagement with key statutory consultees, landowners and community engagement

  • Support the construction team on projects in the pre-construction phase, including:

    • Submission of planning amendments and discharge of pre-commencement conditions
    • Securing any additional consents and permits
    • Landowner liaison and fulfilment of any Option/lease requirements
