The Radio Frequency Systems Division is at the heart of space instrumentation and comprehensive communication systems, and is now seeking a talented Internal Research Fellow to contribute to its mission. This is your chance to work within the Systems Security Engineering Section (TEC-ESS) and the Telecom Systems Section (TEC-ESC), both pivotal in steering the future of space communications and security.

  • PhD in telecommunications, preferably focused on 5G, recently completed or near completion.
  • Understanding of security aspects, potential attacks, and countermeasures in modern telecommunication systems.
  • Knowledge of applied cryptography and programming skills.
  • Proficiency in English or French, with additional language skills considered a plus.

The Internal Research Fellow position will be shared between the Systems Security Engineering Section (TEC-ESS) and the Telecom Systems Section (TEC-ESC) in the Radio Frequency Systems Division, Electrical Department, Directorate of Technology, Engineering and Quality.

Our team and mission The Radio Frequency Systems Division is responsible for space instrumentation and end-to-end communication systems, subsystems, and equipment and technologies. This position will be shared between the Systems Security Engineering Section (TEC-ESS) and the Telecom Systems Section (TEC-ESC).

You should have recently completed or be close to completing a PhD in telecommunications (preferably on 5G). Preference will be given to applications submitted by candidates who have received their PhD within the past five years. Good knowledge and understanding of security aspects, potential attacks and countermeasures in modern telecommunication systems Knowledge of modern applied cryptography Programming capabilities.

The working languages of the Agency are English and French. A good knowledge of one of these is required. Knowledge of another Member State language would be an asset.
