  • Support the Head of PR & Communications with the Movember PR and communications plan for 2024.
  • Collaborate across international offices to ensure clear and effective communication.
  • Engage in occasional out-of-hours work to coordinate with global teams and attend events.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a PR agency or client-side role.
  • Expertise in the earned media landscape, including print, digital, broadcast, and social media.
  • Proven track record in media pitching and strong UK media contacts.

Movember is the leading charity changing the face of men’s health globally, tackling mental health and suicide prevention, prostate cancer, testicular cancer. We are seeking a passionate Senior Press Officer to join our London based team. We encourage applications from all backgrounds and communities and are committed to having a team that is made up of diverse skills, experiences and abilities.

The role is to support the Head of PR & Communications in the execution of the 2024 Movember PR and comms plan, until the end of April 2025. With offices in Australia, the UK, Canada, and the US, clear communication and collaboration across our markets is key to success. Some out of hours work is required due to time differences across markets. There may also be a requirement to attend events as part of the role’s duties and this could require some evening/weekend work on occasion.

Job requirements include 2+ years’ experience working in a busy agency environment or client-side, a strong understanding of the earned media landscape print, digital, broadcast and social media (particularly Instagram and TikTok), experience pitching to media on the phone and in-person, strong understanding of the UK media landscape, with good contacts in national and regional press, as well as men’s lifestyle titles, strong communications skills, specifically the ability to synthesise complexity into easily understood communications, confidence to conduct interviews with case studies on the phone or in person, to be a creative thinker who understands how to create integrated PR campaigns, excellent visual, oral and written communication skills, self-starter, highly organized, and detail-oriented, ability to pull and manage large data base lists and do analytical recapping.
