- Role Summary:

- Curate and craft compelling stories from community content.
- Engage in video and content editing.

- Role Requirements:
- Current undergraduate or graduate student.
- Proficient in Google Calendar, Docs, and Gmail.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- Skilled in design and video editing.
- Understanding of digital campaigns and global messaging.
- Capable of independent work and detailed organization.
- Familiarity with international youth/education contexts.
- Available during Eastern Standard Time working hours.
- Spanish or other language skills are a plus.

The organisation - TED-Ed TED-Ed is an educational program that supports over 3000+ educators in 100+ countries in identifying, developing and sharing the ideas of students with each other and the world. Joining the TED-Ed Programs team will allow you to work and learn from a global educational program that amplifies the voices of students and educators on a daily basis.
The role As a TED-Ed Programs Community & Content Intern, you will work closely with TED-Ed’s Senior Community Manager and Programs Team on the community management and storytelling of the TED-Ed Student Talks program. Your responsibilities will include collecting and repackaging community-based content to form compelling stories, video and content editing, assisting with content planning and creation, reviewing community applications, supporting with email correspondence and community inquiries, assisting with community building efforts and projects, and providing video content processing support.
Job requirements The ideal candidate should be a current undergraduate or graduate student, proficient in Google Calendar, Docs and Gmail, have excellent written and verbal communication skills, excellent design and video editing skills, fundamental knowledge of digital campaigns or messaging to a global audience, ability to work independently and multitask without sacrificing organizational details, solid understanding of international youth/education-related spaces, and ability to work Eastern Standard Time working hours. Speaking Spanish or other languages is preferred but not required.
Benefits You will gain practical experience working for a non profit, with a focus in program management and community building. You will have shadowing, mentoring, and training opportunities with experienced, knowledgeable professionals. You will have the opportunity to participate in TED-Ed program events and company meetings. The schedule is flexible for students. The compensation is $20/hour for 15-20 hours/week. You must be able to commit to a 6-month term from July-December 2024.
