What will you be doing?
Key tasks and responsibilities (include but not limited to): The Bid Writer will be responsible for researching, writing, and submitting compelling grant proposals and bids to a variety of funding bodies, including governmental agencies, foundations, and private donors. · Research, write, and edit grant proposals and bids to secure funding from diverse sources. · Conduct in-depth research on potential funding opportunities, ensuring alignment with SOA TALK mission and objectives. Stay informed about relevant funding trends, guidelines, and requirements. · Work closely with Trustee and other relevant teams to gather information and insights needed for successful proposal development. · Track and monitor the progress of submitted proposals. Provide timely and accurate reports to funders as required. Ensure compliance with grant terms and conditions. · Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with funders, donors, and relevant stakeholders. Attend meetings, conferences, and events to network and stay informed about funding opportunities. · Develop persuasive and impactful content for various communication materials, including reports, newsletters, and presentations, to effectively communicate SOA Talks's achievements and goals.ency. What are we looking for?
Knowledge and skills requirements: · Proven experience in grant writing and proposal development, preferably within the nonprofit sector. · Exceptional writing, editing, and copywriting skills. · Strong research and analytical abilities. · Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. · Able to work under pressure to meet deadlines. · Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills. · Familiarity with fundraising platforms and grant management systems is a plus. · Excellent English language (vocabulary), grammar, and communication skills. · Adaptable to deal with changing project requirements and deadlines. · Strong computer skills including MS Office proficiency
