Role Summary:Coordinate the Galileo mission segment's design and development activities on-site at the prime contractor’s premises.Liaise with the ESA Galileo Mission Segment Engineering Manager.Develop new Galileo services focused on orbit determination and time synchronisation (ODTS).Manage security monitoring, threat detection, and vulnerability corrections at the SECMON prime contractor's premises.

Role Requirements:A master's degree in physics, electrical or aerospace engineering, or a related field.At least five years of technical experience related to the position.Understanding and experience with the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) and collaboration tools like JIRA and Confluence.Capability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced project team environment.Eligibility for security clearance from your national security administration.

We are looking for a Galileo Ground Mission Resident Engineer to join our team at the European Space Agency’s Technology Centre in the Netherlands. Our teams are responsible for the design, development, procurement, integration and qualification of the Galileo system, including the constellation of satellites in medium-Earth orbit and the ground segment for mission, control and security monitoring deployed at remote sites all over the world.

The Role: As an onsite engineer, you will be coordinating the day-to-day Galileo mission segment design and development activities at the prime contractor’s premises, liaising with the ESA Galileo Mission Segment Engineering Manager. You will also be responsible for coordinating the design, development and evolutions required for the new Galileo services in the area of orbit determination and time synchronisation (ODTS). You will ensure the security monitoring, thread detection and vulnerability corrections of the ground mission segment at the SECMON (security monitoring) prime contractor’s premises.

Job Requirements: You must have a master's in physics, electrical or aerospace engineering, or a related field. You must have at least five years of technical experience in a field directly related to the position. Knowledge and experience of the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) and team collaboration tools (JIRA, Confluence, or similar) are required. You should be able to demonstrate that you can work in a fast-paced environment and handle pressure as may typically occur in a project team. You must be eligible for security clearance from your national security administration.
