  • Coordinate ground segment and system integration, verification, and qualification (IVQ) activities.

  • Master's degree in physics, electrical, aerospace engineering, or related field.

  • Proficiency in Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) and collaboration tools such as JIRA and Confluence.
  • Good knowledge of large-scale distributed ground segment infrastructure.
  • Understanding of GNSS technology and infrastructure is a plus.
  • Regular travel required for operational site visits and AIV factory coordination.
  • Security clearance eligibility is mandatory.
  • Open to nationals from specific ESA member states and associated countries.

We are looking for a Galileo System Control Centre IVQ Engineer to join our team at the European Space Agency’s Technology Centre in the Netherlands. Our teams are responsible for the design, development, procurement, integration and qualification of the Galileo system, including the constellation of satellites in medium-Earth orbit and the ground segment for mission, control and security monitoring deployed at remote sites all over the world.

The Role: As a Galileo System Control Centre IVQ Engineer, you will be resident at the Galileo GCC-I Control Centre in Fucino (L’Aquila, Italy). Your responsibilities will include coordinating the day-to-day ground segment and system IVQ (integration, verification and qualification) and deployment activities; managing the on-site IVQ and deployment planning through participation at the mid term planning Meetings (MTPs) and change control boards (CCBs); ensuring implementation of ground segment interfaces with satellite manufacturing and satellite AIT facilities; and managing the ESA level deployment planning and documentation.

Job Requirements: You must have a master's in physics, electrical or aerospace engineering or a related field. You must have at least five years of technical experience in a field directly related to the position. Knowledge and experience of the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) and Team collaboration tools (JIRA, Confluence, or similar) are required. Good knowledge of large-scale distributed ground segment infrastructure is also required. Knowledge of GNSS technology and infrastructure would be considered an asset.
