Bread & Jam is the largest community of food and drink founders of the UK and we’re looking for a Marketing Intern to join our team.

Since launching in 2016, Bread & Jam has grown to become the first port of call for anyone starting or scaling a food business. We have a year round programme of workshops, conferences and festivals focused on supporting thousands of ambitious food and drink brands accelerate the growth of their ventures. We’re looking for an ambitious Marketing Intern to support us with our annual Festival, held on 16-17 July at the Business Design Centre in London.

The Opportunity

You'll be an integral part of our small team, using your digital marketing skills to jump straight into all areas of marketing and event management to ensure that our Festival is a success. This is a great opportunity for a recent graduate interested in the world of events, food & drink and marketing.

The Essentials

You must be available to start immediately. The internship will run until 19th July 2024. You will be expected to work full time hours (approx. 35 hours per week) and be able to attend our offices at least twice a week in Liverpool Street, central London

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting with our social media presence - creating compelling content and engaging with our online community via Instagram, LinkedIn and Facebook
  • Supporting our founders with our weekly newsletter - gathering digital assets, copywriting and liaising with our Partnerships Manager to collate content from our event partners
  • Managing our Eventbrite account - setting up events, managing attendees and attendee communications, attending to incoming enquiries
  • Working closely with our Partnerships Manager to fulfil event partner commitments on social media, print marketing, our website and email marketing
  • Supporting with event management for our Festival, ensuring our attendees feel welcome and looked after
  • Supporting with managing our Facebook groups with over 12,000 members, responding to enquiries, managing incoming posts, group moderating and welcoming new members
  • Managing our website and keeping it up to date with our events programme, testimonials and event partner information

If you’re a friendly, organised person who's interested in events, we’d love to hear from you. Ideally you would have had some marketing/events experience working in a customer facing setting but you do not have to have events industry or food specific experience.

We’re offering access to all of our cutting edge, legendary content and the opportunity to develop an unrivalled network of thought leaders and disruptive industry icons within the food and drink industry.

If you’d like to put yourself forward, please send us a short cover letter and your CV. We're particularly interested in candidates who understand what we do and are passionate about events.
